Prof. (Dr.) Shailja Beniwal is Programme Director of B.Sc.(Hons) Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Law (SOL), Law School Single Point of Contact (SPOC), International Relations. With her highest qualifications of UGC-NET, Ph.D, M.Phil in Criminology, Police Science (Defence Forces) and Psychology, accreditation expertise, significant research and teaching experience, Dr. Shailja bring 16 years of unwavering commitment to higher education which led to serve as Professor Training at Police Academy, Government of India where she is responsible to impart indoor training to IPS Officers (Probation), Dy.SPs and Public Prosecutors on Criminal Laws, Criminal Justice System and various Police course work.
She has held prominent academic leadership roles in innovative teaching and research and has been responsible for institution building, discipline, establishing cultures of academic excellence, enhancing global community initiatives, research outputs and driving a high-performance culture based on embodied guidance.
- As an accomplished author, Dr. Shailja has authored book series on Criminal Laws and Police Science, Environment Science, Violence against Women and Children, Road Safety and Drug Abuse. Her diverse and active research has been published in peer-reviewed journals. Her write-ups speak to an intellect on mindful community research inquiry have been published in the reputed national news papers like The Tribune, Times of India and Hindustan Times.
- Prof. (Dr.) Shailja Beniwal has been associated with International Green Criminology research dialogues beyond the mindful concerns on global Environmental issues like Wild life, Oceanic, Forest Science, Artificial Intelligence and Human behavior, Restorative Justice.
